2021 So far

This year started off with a lot of data collection. We gathered over 8000 survey responses across the UK and US as part of our project on understanding people’s values for removing plastic in different marine environments. This data is currently being analysed by the team at The University of Stirling, HWR Berlin, and Clark University. We hope to have a few working papers ready for the summer.

The Plymouth Marine Lab has been busy modelling plastic particle movement across the North Atlantic. They are using data and modelling techniques from Lebreton et al. (2017) and Jambeck et al. (2015) to look at this more in depth.

Additionally, we have been gathering data on waste managment and waste generation amounts across Europe to look closer at the relationship between those two variables.
